I got a Bluetooth headset which came with its own Bluetooth dongle. For
some reason, every few days, the headset no longer works as a speaker
for my PC, and I have do remove the headset from Bluetooth devices and
rediscover it again. Any idea why it keeps having to be rediscovered? It
works perfectly in between times though.

I do not have the answer but hope someone does as I have a webcam that
does the same thing. As long as I use it every couple of days it is fine
but any longer than that and I have to unplug the usb cord and then plug
it back in before it is recognized again. It does not matter whether it
is on a hub or the back, front or top of the computer. I have been trying
to figure this one out on my own for a long time. I hope some one has a
answer for you Yousuf.

It might be a problem with the headset or its dongle, rather than
Windows. I suggest looking at the manufacturer's site, or Googling for
the name of the device. Or name plus loses Bluetooth

I've had some problems that on Googling turned out to be endemic to the
device itself.

Other than that, I have no idea.

Yes, it's exactly the same symptoms with my headset. The headset works
fine for a couple of days, and then you have to rediscover it after the
couple of days.

The problem is not limited to headsets, or any specific Bluetooth
device. I have the same problem with Bluetooth mice on my laptop.

The only time I see an error with my B/T mouse if after bringing the laptop out of hibernation. I get the error that B/T
is undiscoverable, but then, within seconds, the error goes away. Even though the error message is showing, the mouse
works.
The mouse is a Logitech V470 and the dongle is an IOGEAR USB 2.1 Bluetooth Micro Adapter GBU421, running on a Gateway
M-6850fx with Win7 HP 32-bit. Maybe there's an auto-discover setting in your setup?

I see a similar problem (intermittent, naturally) that involves the HDMI
audio outputs and the AMD Radion HD drivers, even the latest edition.
The video cards are in crossfire, each card has audio, and the MBD has a
realtec sound system.
