I always liked Sony Sound Forge.

I am sure that there are other good ones too.

but, it didn't work well.
sometimes it became "not responding"
can u tell me why?

You may find some freeware that will be OKish depends on what results in editing you want

I'm not sure about the other applications but I have used Audacity.
