I've only had this laptop for almost two months, and my battery icon charging symbol blinks for a few seconds (maybe 10) then quits blinking but the charging continues. Is this normal and is there some sort of setting to reset.

No BF, that's normal for the blinking to stop, but you'll notice the progress indicator will gradually move up to the top of the battery icon making it solid once the full charge is there.
