I have a pretty basic queastion re Wibndows 7--but I dson't know the answer--I have a new Compaq desktop that is runnign Win 7 Home Premium;
ma how do I find if 5this is 64 bit or 32

Type 'dxdiag' to the Start Menu search bar and press enter. There you can see Operating System: (whatever it is)

or

Control Panel -> System and there System Type: 64bit or 32bit

....or a shortcut I learned on this very forum, from one of the mods or admins (I forget who.)

Windows key + Pause key held together.

You can also Right-click on "Computer" and go to "Properties". There is where it will tell you what version you have.
