Sorry Ian i did not explain my self very well, i meant is there any applications that are designed to create an avatar (resize, add a border etc) to a normal picture or part of a picture ?

Something like this but for Windows 7 > http://download.cnet.com/Video-Avata...-10583633.html

I'm not aware of any specific ones, although I'm sure there are some out there. Most good graphics applications will be able to do the same things though

If you are looking for some good ideas, there are some big avatar database that you can use images from : http://www.avatarist.com/, http://avatars.jurko.net/, http://www.iconator.com/ etc.

It's way too big for either avatar or signature.

Cool though

Avatar = 100 x 100 pixels
Signature = 100 x 500 pixels

100 x 500 takes up too much space though in my opinion

The larger images can be resampled with a photo editor.
