Avast 7 update causing problems.

Seems to install Chrome on your machine without warning and may bork an existing Chrome install.

Sounds more like Mal-ware than an update.

Yeah, but it's a version update from 6 to 7. Kind of major. Also some ere reporting no problems. I don't use it but I thought I'd post about.

I got the update the other day and if you take your time and read before blindly clicking next, the Chrome option can be un-selected quite easily.

I am happy with MSE, but curiosity led me to install the latest Avast, with which I was comfortable , years ago.
Like Draceena, I read as the install went along. No problem, no Chrome.
