Hi

I installed Windows 7 as a fresh install and it has worked brilliantly until
today.

Autoroute installs normally and seems OK. However when I click the icon to
run program I get a message saying "registry settings not copied correctly".

I have reinstalled, deleted program via control panel but whatever I do I
get the same message. I am using the original MS DVD.

Is this a common problem and is there anything I can do.

Thanks
Howard

I have an old version of AutoRoute, it's 16 bit so I can't even install it
on Win7-64.
I have had the problem you describe with MSFT Money though - it seems to
get confused and doesn't set up its shortcut properly. What happens if you
double click the AutoRoute exe file in Explorer?

The same happens.

I have now found microsoft.public.uk.autoroute in which someone else has had
same problem but it seems to be an inactive group.

Thanks for your reply.

In case anybody else has the same problem the solution is to run as an
administrator.
