Automatically Booting Win 7 into Admin mode

Hey all,

Is there a way to force Win 7 to boot into Administrator mode on boot up? The current boot of Win 7 takes me to a user screen where I must choose between Administrator and Ed Wood, the two users for this system. I want to boot into Admin mode automatically without having to choose between the two.

My reasons are simple.

1. I am running SuperAntiSpyware Pro, which will not do automatic updates unless I am in administrator mode, so I have to exit the program and run it as administrator.
2. Some programs will not install in User mode, but must be installed in administrator mode (i.e. MS Office 2007, WordPerfect X5, etc.). This is a hassle that could be easily overcome by booting directly into Administrator.

Does anyone have a suggestion about how to overcome this obstacle?

The only way that I can actually think of to accomplish what you want .. is IF the password was not set on the Admin account.

Seeing as thou you have 2 accounts.. you COULD ( why you would want to is your business) set the admin account with no password .. but the other account WITH a password..

That way when you boot up .. all you would have to do is select the Admin Account and it SHOULD automatically log you on without having to type in a password.

Other wise I'm not entirely sure about Auto booting directly to an Admin account

If you are the ONLY user of this particular system... why have 2 separate accounts ???

In the first windo which opens, Mark the square "Users must enter a password..etc.= Apply

I think this may get what you want. But, two things to observe. Opening the Global Admin account for automatic boot, is a security risk - not too serious if you have good anti virus etc protection, and, obviously this would need you to put in a password for "Ed Wood" every time you want to change users.
