Any difficulty installing Shockwave Player?

I went to Macromedia.com and started the install, installed the ActiveX Control, then a window appeared with the download progress. It hit the end and I took a break for an hour and that window was still there.

I restarted and re-visited the site with the embedded flash and it still didn't work.

I then tried the download again, and a setup box came up for a short period of time, but then exited.

Restarted, went back to site, still not working.

I successfully downloaded the plug-in for Firefox and it worked fine.

I've just tried to install it now and it works fine for me, so I'm not sure why it's freezing.

You could try installing direct from the standalone installer and see if that works:

Hopefully that will do the trick

Thanks guys, in the meantime I just copied the FlashUtil10a.exe from my Vista machine and it was there was a newer version would you like to download it

I did and it was successful.
