Anyone know how to run Alcohol 120 in W7? It won't run because of
compatibility problems even though I selected to run as XP.

Thanks.

Just came from XP to Vista and Alcohol120% was one of the programs just
wouldn't work. Apparently you need a later version for Vista. I now have
that later version and it's working but am also wondering if I upgrade to 7
if I'll end up going thru the same thing again?

That is what their support just told me. I would need to purchase either
a year of updates or a lifetime of updates.

Did support actually state latest version works in Windows 7?

Yes, that is the latest version. I have version 1.9.6.4719 which does
not. Their support wrote back:

So one needs to purchase an update every year or a lifetime update. You
too will need to do that when W 8 comes up next year.

Don't think so. Not overly happy that even new to me pc is running Vista and
I have a strong inclination to revert back to XP. Running Win7 in a VM
hasn't exactly impressed me as it seems more MS BS, e.g. don't make it
better just change it for changes sake. They're trying to make it like a car
where somehow ego is involved in running the latest and greatest so you
"want" to upgrade. I don't, was happy was it was and can live with way it is
now. Just fix the GD problems in "this" version.
