I tried to update an Adobe 10 x update notice and got the following:

error 1303. the installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory.
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\Replicate.
The istallation cannot continue.
Log on as administrator or contact your system administrator.

Tried to fix permissions but was unsuccessful.
Any solutions to this problem would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Program data is a system and protected folder. Under the defaults you should not even see it. perhaps we can help. Why do you wish to access it?

Thanks for the prompt reply davehc.
In pursuing the problem further I noticed a tip to disable
my KAV before running the Adobe update and in doing so
the update ran through with no problem.
Thanks for you time and effort, I appreciate it.

Well done. I think many of us (I am for sure) are guilty of plunging into things without bothering to read the instructions! LOL.
