What is the earliest version of Acrobat that is compatible with Win 7?

Well, first of all Acrobat loads up a bunch of totally unnecessary software when you install it. I highly recommend that you stay away from it.

I use Nitro PDF and others here use and recommend Foxit PDF reader.

Both are free, lightweight, easy to use and work just as well IF not better than Adobe Acrobat.

Stay away from Adobe Acrobat if possible, it's a resource hog.

Whenever I install my Adobe stuff I untick the Adobe Air box. It still gets installed though!
I just go to programs and features and remove it. It's needed if you want Adobe Help. Something else I immediately remove.
You can also get an (unofficial) Adobe Acrobat Light.

Just use Nitro PDF Reader or Foxit PDF Reader and these issues won't show up.
