I have downloaded windows 7 entered the key as asked and all is good to go. I right clicked on computer and scrolled down to activate and it is saying auto activate within three days, do you want to activate now. What's that all about.

It means that you need to authorise the key online to use Windows 7 Beta in the long term (I think you get a 30 day grace period, or something similar). You might as well activate it now
