Hi

I've got Vista 64-bit running on my PC. I now want to try Windows 7 so I downloaded the 64-bit DVD and did a clean install on a different hard drive to my Vista system. However the installed system was just 32-bit and I couldn't use Easy Transfer to copy the files and settings I'd saved in Vista.

As there didn't appear to my any choice of operating system during the install, why did I end up with a 32-bit system from the 64-bit DVD?

Thanks for your help.

The 64-bit DVDs cannot install 32-bit at all. You mistakenly downloaded the 32-bit disc, I'm afraid.

You'll have to redownload the correct ISO, reformat to install 64-bit, and then your WET file will import correctly.

Well the only comment I've got is that the Product Key definitely says Windows 7 RC 64-bit Product Key. However I will try again.
