Could Adobe be dragging their feet because of the new HTML5 standard that will not require adobe flash plugin to view media content?

If 32-Bit browsing will hold out long enough for the HTML5 standards to become a reality and Adobe plugins will no longer be needed. If I was Adobe, I'm not sure I would waste my time programming the 64-Bit version of the Flash Player.

On the other hand, you'd think they may try and get an x64 plugin out there so that they can capture even more of the market before Flash reliance decreases.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Flash once HTML5 is widespread and fully adopted.

Makes you think about the nature of the free market economy and/or capitalism. Here you have a company with a product that is widely adopted, and along comes a new standard to take its place. What to do?
