I upgraded my HP Pavilion from xp to Windows 7 32-bit.... I realize now that the upgrade kit included a 64 bit version as well.... I am going to begin some web development work using WAMP - can I easily upgrade my 32-bit environment to the 64-bit version without a ton of hurt?

Hello eklugman! Welcome to the Windows 7 Forums website.

Good idea on your part, just make sure all your hardware is 64-bit capable and drivers too.

You should have at least 4GB of RAM to run the 64-bit OS.

In addition, you'll have to do a clean install of the 64-bit OS. You CANNOT do an upgrade install from 32-bit to 64-bit.
